Refreshing! A great perspective. Perhaps one day, 'perspectives' might be a course instead of say... 18th century literature - which is only limited perspective. Great job!

The point missed by most deists is Natures God and not Gods Nature and Mankind's Nature as lived
today. Unless we get back to respecting nature as the creator then we have no future. If we continue to worship mankind's nature, we will wipe our humanity and its Gods within 100years.
I would suggest that this raises some urgent concern and deists need to get this point home now.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure where Freemasonry comes in. My great-great-grandfather was a Mason, but the tradition died out. Freemasonry's neutrality would certainly work for me.

Actually, I don't believe Freemasonry makes the statement that there are many true paths. Rather it makes the statement that each man must choose his own path and that Freemasonry will take no position on a man's path in their religious faith. Freemasonry is neutral as to the question of which path is write or if there is more than one path that is right. That is left up to the individual Mason.

Your quote hits the nail on the head! I'm in my 50's but it took me until recently, to stop blaming the world for my woes.
Since realising this, I feel so much better with myself.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Deism appeals to me in that it does not require one to abandon reason and logic and accept on blind faith. Christianity's literary contribution The New Testament, is hopelessly riddled with contradictions and inconsistencies, and yet we are to trust in it as the infallible inspired Word of God-or else suffer eternal damnation! In addition, Christianity has a long history of brutal intolerance. I believe Deism is a much preferable alternative to blind faith.
